STRETCHED CANVAS
Talens Stretched Canvas have made a name for themselves! Excellent quality canvas, stretched on a sturdy pine frame at a very competitive price! The canvases are thoroughly primed with a universal primer and are ready-to-use. Talens Stretched Canvas is available in both cotton and linen. Hence both qualities are suitable for multi-purpose painting use, such as oil, acrylic and with gouache.
The canvases are supplied with an informative corner label and are individually shrink-wrapped to protect them during transportation and storage.

Available sizes and types:

The size 50 x 60 cm up to 70 x 100 cm have a cross-lath for strengthening.
The three largest sizes have diagonal laths for extra strength.
The canvases are supplied with wooden wedges for re-tensioning the canvas.
Eight wedges are supplied as standard, more with larger canvases: 12 with the *
and 16 with the ** extra large sizes.

The dimensions of the wooden laths are: 21 x 31 mm, with * 21 x 45 mm (including 50 x 50 size) and with ** 27 x 65 mm. Allow between 1 and 2 mm extra because of the thickness of the canvas.

Besides the traditionally tacked stretched canvases Talens also offers 34 sizes of cotton stretches with sides of 21 mm thickness which are stapled on the back so the sides can be painted.

For extra thick sides (40 mm) we have an assortment of 23 sizes of 3D stretched canvases (cotton).

CANVAS BOARDS
Attractively priced painting grounds, manufactured from heavy-quality cardboard. Covered with cotton canvas (size 9 x 12 cm is covered with paper). This canvas is universally prepared, hence suitable for many types of paint such as oils, acrylics and gouache. Available in the nine most frequently used sizes (N.B.: sizes may vary from country to country; please check with your retailer.

ARTISTS' CANVAS ON ROLL
Professional quality artists' canvas in roll. Available in three types of material: cotton, linen and polyester. The standard size of the rolls is 10 metres x 2.10 metres (except for the CS roll = 10 x 1.5 metres wide and the LS canvas = 10 x 1.4 metres). All canvases are universally primed, except for the three canvases specifically prepared for use with oil paint. All types are supplied individually rolled around a heavy cardboard cylinder and packed in a sturdy cardboard box.

Cotton

Cotton Fine
Universally prepared canvas with a fine weave. This canvas is also used on the Talens Stretched Canvas. Length: 10 metres, width 1.5 metres.

Cotton Fine, Extra
Universally prepared canvas with a fine weave, slightly heavier quality than CS. Length x width: 10 x 2.10 metres.

Cotton Medium
The heaviest quality cotton with a slightly coarser weave. This is also universally primed, hence suitable for various types of paint. Length x width: 10 x 2.10 metres.

Mixed Fibres
This quality consists of a combination of 70% cotton and 30% rayon. The canvas is universally prepared and has a medium texture. Length x width: 10 x 2.10 metres.

Polyester

Linen Medium
A universal canvas with a medium weave, also used on Talens Stretched Canvas. Length x width: 10 x 1.40 m. Code: LS

Linen Fine/Medium Fine
A quality with a structure between fine and medium fine. Universally primed. Length x width: 10 x 2.10 metres. Code: L1

Linen Medium Fine
Universally prepared canvas with a medium fine weave. Length x width: 10 x 2.10 metres. Code: L2

Linen Coarse
