DECORFIN GLASS |

|
Decorfin Glass is a superb glass paint made from the finest raw materials. The paint
adheres well to all types of very smooth surfaces. Another big advantage is that the paint is easy to apply: it
does not streak and flows well. When dry, the paint has a wonderful high gloss. Decorfin Glass can be used not
only on glass and Perspex, but also on glazed earthenware and tiles (in non-damp areas). |
The selection consists of 20 colours, which can be used either pure or mixed together. 3 colours are opaque, namely
white, grey and black; by mixing the colours with white, you can create beautiful transitions from transparent
to opaque pastel colours. Black and grey are ideal for painting opaque contours.
A good glass paint must be lightfast. Decorfin Glass's high level of lightfastness ensures that there is scarcely
discolouring of the paint in sunlight and that you will have lasting pleasure from your own work. Decorfin Glass
dries slightly less quickly than other Decorfin paints. It is dry to the touch after 3 hours, but you should allow
a total drying time of approximately 24 hours. The result is well worth the wait.

A few tips on working with Decorfin Glass

|
Before applying the paint, make sure the surface is free from dust and grease. The brush
must also be completely clean. This is important because any remaining dust particles may adversely affect
the result. For cleaning it is best to use either Talens Ox Gall or spirit. Stir the paint well before
use. |

|
We advise you to use a soft-haired brush, for example Decorfin series 62, so that the
paint can be applied without streaking. |

|
For the best possible result the paint should be applied in thin coats and brushed out.
Too much paint can cause ripples in the paint surface. If you use thin coats, the paint will flow well
and you won't see any brushstrokes. |

|
If you want to make the colours stand out more intensely or work with one colour over
another you can apply a second coat after a minimum drying time of 24 hours. |

|
If you like less concentrated colours and more transparency in your work, you can thin
the paint with Medium for Glass. In addition this Medium is ideal for protecting the end result (apply
as a varnish coat to the object painted with Decorfin Glass). |

|
Decorated objects can be kept clean with a damp cloth and lukewarm water. Close the
bottles tightly after use and do not leave any paint residue in the cap or on the thread of the bottle.
Look after your brushes clean them with white spirit immediately after use. After cleaning place them in
an empty jar with bristles pointing upwards. |
